Yesterday, Spain made history, defeating Argentina 1-0 in extra time to win the 2026 FIFA World Cup. But while the game itself was an unforgettable showdown, the first-ever World Cup Final Halftime Show was just as much of a spectacle.
Curated by Coldplay’s Chris Martin, the 11-minute show featured an absolutely wild lineup of music legends, pop stars and, yes, the Muppets.
Madonna kicked things off with “Music,” before the Muppets took the field for a performance of “Seven Nation Army” led by legendary conductor Gustavo Dudamel. BTS then brought the energy with “Dynamite.”
Jason Sudeikis also made a surprise appearance in character as Ted Lasso, introducing Justin Bieber, who performed “Everything Hallelujah” on guitar with World Cup-themed lyrics.
The star power continued with Shakira and Burna Boy, who performed their collaboration “Dai Dai.” And then, in true World Cup fashion, the show ended with everyone coming together on the field. Chris Martin, Shakira, the Muppets and the PS22 Chorus performed “We Believe” as the word “Love” was projected onto the pitch.
The historic halftime show was the first of its kind at a FIFA World Cup Final and definitely gave fans plenty to talk about. If you missed any of the performances, you can check them all out here.
