Green Day will take the stage for the opening ceremony of Super Bowl LX, marking one of the most visible moments in the band’s storied career. According to the NFL’s official announcement, the performance is scheduled for Feb. 8 at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, just ahead of kickoff.
The appearance places Green Day at the center of the Super Bowl’s 60th-anniversary celebrations. The opening ceremony is designed to honor six decades of the event, including a tribute to past Super Bowl MVPs. The legendary Bay Area trio is expected to perform a selection of their best-known anthems during the live broadcast.
The pregame lineup also includes Charlie Puth, Brandi Carlile, and Coco Jones, who will appear in other segments of the broadcast. Later in the evening, the halftime show will be headlined by Bad Bunny.
Super Bowl 2026 will be played in the San Francisco Bay Area for the first time since 2016, bringing one of the world’s biggest sporting events back to Northern California.
