Drake made sure to honor the late Ozzy Osbourne during his stop in Birmingham on the $ome $exy $ongs 4 UK tour Wednesday night (July 23).
A day before taking the stage at Utilita Arena, where he opened his set with the iconic riff from Black Sabbath’s “Iron Man,” Drake visited the Black Sabbath Bench on Broad Street to pay his respects to the “Godfather of Heavy Metal.”
Surrounded by fresh flowers and handwritten notes left by fans, Drake poured out a splash of tequila in Ozzy’s honor. “I just came out to pay respects to someone who lived it to the fullest,” he told The New York Times, calling Osbourne a true “cultural touchstone.”
